China’s been exerting control over the operation of the enterprise in HK. They requested that Cathay Pacific (a major flag carrier of HK) hand over a list of staff who participated in the protests. They not only disallowed the pro-rally crews to fly to China but also barred them from overflying China enroute to another destination. This is what led to the resignation of the Airline’s 2 executives (Rupert Hogg & Paul Loo). 2 pilots were fired earlier in connection of the protests. China’s interference in Cathay Pacific just represents yet another a long string of promises broken by the communist regime. They violated the Int’l Air Services Transit Agreement. We urge the US Trade Representative to take notice and ensure all the US & local companies in HK are free from China’s interference.
