Time and time again, Donald Trump supporters are attacked outside of Donald Trump rallies. They are assaulted, property is stolen and destroyed, because of their political stance. Local police forces are incapable of handling the number of rioters at these events, and are unable to properly enforce the law. It is embarrassing as a country, but also dangerous to allow this to continue.
It is time for the National Guard to be deployed in situations where states have proven themselves incapable of protecting American citizens under the Insurrection Act.
Mr. President, Congress, it is time protect the American people from violence as seen in California, Illinois, New Mexico, Arizona, and elsewhere as necessary.
